This is not goodbye, This is a thank you

“Goodbyes are not forever,Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you,Until we meet again.” 31st of January was the last time of our practicum teaching. Jessica and I gave a short speech after the flag ceremony in front of all of the teachers and students. I said thank you for everything that has been given to us. We learn a lot from them. We also got a souvenir from the principal. In the class, after teaching, the students gave us surprises such as giving us gifts and singing a song for us. It was so touching and made … Continue reading This is not goodbye, This is a thank you

Other Sweet Memories

One of my favorite moments was when one of the students helped me from the rain. At that day it was raining, I walked quickly to the building where I was assigned to teach, suddenly, from behind, there was a girl holding her jacket and she put her jacket and hand above my head so that the rain would not fall on my head. That was very sweet, wasn’t it?. I was so happy and surprised at once. She cares so much to me although that was the first time we met. Her name is Tuk Ta. The next day, … Continue reading Other Sweet Memories

New Skills and Experiences

New skills I learned from the teachers at Chiang Rai Municipality School 3 were the ability to make teaching media and ability to handle students’ misbehavior. Teaching media is not a new term for me but I haven’t experienced to make it. Mrs. Peach guided me a lot in making an engaging teaching media for the students. I use teaching media to attract students’ interest and attention to the lesson. The media that I created during the practicum were flashcards, words card, word search, etc.  It is easier for me to catch students’ attention when explaining the materials to them … Continue reading New Skills and Experiences

Excursion Part 2 “Blue Temple & Wat Huai Pla Kang”

THE MAJESTIC ‘BLUE TEMPLE’ No visit is complete without a visit to Blue Temple. On the 18th of January, 2019 we went to this stunning temple with Mrs. Peach, Ms. Namfon, and Mr. Nat by car. This temple was completely built in 2016. In Thai, it is also known as Wat Rong Suea Ten. Rong Suea Ten means ‘Tiger Temple’. I am amazed by the luxurious decoration on the wall of the temple. The exterior and interior walls are covered in a vivid hue. The colors are golden, blue, and a bit purple. Blue is the most dominant color which … Continue reading Excursion Part 2 “Blue Temple & Wat Huai Pla Kang”

Work at School

Since the first day of our coming to the school, we tried to mingle with people at the school in order to get closer with the teachers, the students, the school staffs, and the sellers. The first week, we observed the school, the way the teachers teach, the students’ behavior and characteristics especially when they were studying, and the facilities of the school. This week, we also tried to get data from the school for the report. Mrs. Peach helped us a lot in finding the data and the information needed. We also took some pictures with the teachers, the … Continue reading Work at School

On Saturday, January 12, 2019, it was the most awaited time to go traveling. Jessica and I went to Clock Tower, Walking Street, and Flower Festival.  At first, we went to the Clock Tower at 5 pm. We went there by Grab car. We arrived at 5.15 pm so it took around 15 minutes from our dormitory.
